Northern Plains members Jeanie Alderson, Steve Krum, and Wally McRae described their experiences on the front lines as they’ve fought to protect their communities from toxic pollution and industry greed.
The Inflation Reduction Act, which was signed into law last summer, will work to reduce United States’ greenhouse gas emissions by up to 44% by 2030, compared to 2005 levels. Lucky for us, the IRA includes some substantial clean energy benefits for Montana residents and businesses to help us get there.
On August 16, 2022 President Biden signed into law the historic Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). This law marks the most significant action on climate change in U.S. history. While it’s far from perfect, the IRA will have significant implications for our climate, the clean energy future we’re fighting for, and the future of family agriculture.
