Tongue River Valley Celebration in Miles City Sept. 22

What: Tongue River Valley Celebration
 4:30 p.m., Sept. 22, 2012
 Pumping Plant Park, Miles City
 $10, children 12 and younger free
Live music, local foods, and silent auction

The Tongue River Valley Celebration celebrates the people and landscape of the Tongue River Valley. It will include a supper made from regionally grown foods, as well as a silent / live auction, and live music. The celebration will begin at 4:30 pm, with music and a silent auction. A supper of local meats and other local foods will be served at 5. Martha Scanlan, the Milestown Bluegrass Band, Marie Rivard, Phil Smith, Erin Espeland, and Max Hay will provide live music throughout the evening. Pumping Plant Park is on the west side of Miles City. From I-94, take Exit 135 and drive toward town. Turn north on Water Plant Road.

The Tongue River Celebration is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Northern Plains Tongue River Railroad Task Force.

Brews Cruise in Billings Oct. 6 

What:    Local Food, Local Energy, and Local Beer on the Biodiesel Bus
  Starting at Home on the Range 220 S. 27th Street in Billings
   5 p.m.- 9 p.m. Oct. 6, 2012
Cost: $50 person
 Connie at 298-0985A short cruise on the biodiesel bus to enjoy the views and a tour of a dual wind turbine installation where local brews will be served.  Then it’s back on the bus to the Fieldhouse Cafe for a delicious meal of local food prepared by Chef Ben Harman. The Brews Cruise dinner will feature wagyu beef, truffles, and other local favorites. Tickets are $50 a person, which covers drinks, food and transportation.  There are only 25 seats available, and they will fill up fast so RSVP Connie at 298-0985 or conkeogh@yahoo.com
